Kami de Chukwu is one of the most recent and most prolific additions to the Savemoney discography, having contributed the tracks “Scrapemoney” feat. Preston San, “Ig’Nant” and “MurderFACE” feat. Vic Mensa just within the last month or so. Not only is he dope at rapping (implementing clever wordplay, vocal anticipation, and unconventional beats), but he is pretty good at whipping his mom’s minivan, too. Keep on the lookout for new projects from Chukwu, who has sparked the attention of L.A. producer, Jonwayne. We shot some stills of the man himself on the Captain Morgan + Saturday night = yolo tip at our apartment last week.

Shouts to Lois Le of Niles West. We asked her to strip down to the basics, eat a disgusting Hello Kitty marshmallow lollipop, and make herself comfortable in a tub of creepy stuffed animals (which, by the way, were formerly sprawled all across the floor of our apartment the night before. An idea influenced by a bunch of drunken bitties). The shoot was inspired by a recent obsession with fake gold jewelry from the corner store and our growing toy-phillia. Lately us girls have been tapping into our inner child by appreciating the toys that used to keep us entertained for hours and shows like Tom and Jerry that probably influenced a lot of our humor today. Anyways …that good girl is still in all of us, but now it’s been complimented by a bit more bad girl, influenced by our innate love for anything trill :).

Our girl Tayler caught up with Spitta at Diamond Supply Co Fairfax in LA before his show.

I hit Diamond Supply ‘The Stoned Immaculate’ label listening event. Now Curren$y is no new comer to the game but has linked with Warner Brothers for the distribution of his first non-independent album. The event in itself was love. I heard some dope music, had good conversation and the doobie bar was a nice touch. Special thanks to Curren$y, Young Roddy, Jet Life, Karen Civil and Nicky Diamonds for the good times. Back in March, we hung out on the set of A$AP Ferg’s Hundred Million Roses. We spent a couple hours in the Bronx at an abandoned retirement home from the 70′s. Pretty creepy… but extremely raw. See if you can spot us in the video :)

Ilovethehype AKA iLTHY® is a creative street wear brand based out of Cleveland, OH that we recently got hip to through the NVRCH crew. Their ideas and concepts are inspired by pop culture, music, and sports. Since 2010, when iLTHY launched the Brotha Reds Donut™ shirt, they solidified their place in the street wear scene and have apparel currently being sold in Cleveland, New York, & Miami. All designs are produced, designed, and sewn in-house at the iLTHY Workshop which we recently got to check out for a Chip Tha Ripper in-store. I (Chandler) was in Cleveland while the iLTHY spring lookbook was being shot, and here is the final product. You might catch me making it rain with a bunch of dudes in ski-masks..
